Has anyone else ever heard of these before? The organic southern Illinois farmers were selling these at the market on Saturday and they are fabulous! Bright red as the tart cherries from Michigan, but sweet and tangy inside like Rainers. If you spot them, buy a couple pints...I wish I'd bought more then one.

My market had them on sale for $2.99 a pound last week. It was the best fruit I ever had. I inhaled the 2 boxes I bought. I need to find more. Love them!
I'm from Atlanta, GA and I tried these today after recommendation from a Publix grocery store worker. I'm not impressed and given the price ($5.99 per lb), I'd rather have the Raniers
Bummer! I'm sorry about that! It must depend on the batch, like any other fruit. Thanks for reading and your comments!
I just tried some and absolutely loved them. Some of the best cherries I've ever had. They had a mellow sweetness to them. I'm definitely getting more.
I'd never heard of them until this past weekend, a friend of ours used them on top of cupcakes she made for a wedding shower. They were so good! I don't know where she got them...but we live in central Florida...so perhaps she got them from Publix like the person above mentioned? Although I can't see my friend paying $5.99/lb for them.
(happened by your blog after googling "strawberry cherries"!)
